I started drawing this several months ago and never finished it, but I decided to use it for a school assignment so here it is! Digitally drawn onto the painting ‘Birth of Venus’. ^.^ I hope you like it! I’m very proud of it and I’m happy with how it turned out. ^.^ Can you spot all the references? :> It was not meant to turn out like this, but I have changed as an artist since I started this so eh! I actually love it! Oh well! Puss puss!
Happy international womens day! ♀ ♥ Remember; you are your own goddess. Forever, and ever. Be you. Have a lovely day and stay true to your heart~ ♥I thought I’d share with you my latest series; inspired by the letter V which lead me to women, patriarchy, sexism and goddesses.
“The woman turned and went slowly into the house. As she passed the doors she turned and looked back. Grave and thoughtful was her glance, as she looked on the king with cool pity in here eyes. Very fair was her face, and her long hair was like a river of gold. Slender and tall she was in her white robe girt with silver; but strong she seemed and stern as steel, a daughter of kings. But who knows what she spoke to the darkness, alone, in the bitter watches of the night, when all her life seemed shrinking, and the walls of her bower closing in about her, a hutch to trammel some wild thing in? And then her heart changed, or at least she understood it; and the winter passed, and the sun shone upon her.”by Beckychu~
